Source: Order PJC/297/2026 of 30 March (BOE-A-2026-7296), article 18. The maximum contribution base for self-employed workers in 2026 is €5,101.20 a month.

How it is calculated

Four steps

  1. Net earnings. Business income minus deductible expenses, as for personal income tax, plus the self-employed contribution you deducted.
  2. General expenses. 7 % is deducted (3 % for company directors or partners with the holdings above).
  3. Monthly average. The result is divided by 12 and matched to its band.
  4. Contribution. You choose a contribution base within your band and 31.50 % is applied: 28.30 % common contingencies, 1.30 % occupational contingencies, 0.90 % cessation of activity, 0.10 % vocational training and 0.90 % Intergenerational Equity Mechanism.

Bear in mind

What the calculator does not include

  • Multiple activities and other reductions. If you are also employed or entitled to other reductions, your contribution may be lower.
  • Company directors and partners. Specific rules apply to their minimum base. We confirm it with your figures.
